If you've accidentally deleted a Measurable or group from your Scorecard, don't worry—you can restore them along with all their historical data. Ninety preserves your data even after deletion, making recovery straightforward.
Before You Delete: Use Archive Instead
Important: Before deleting any Scorecard item, consider archiving it instead. Archived items:
- Preserve all historical data.
- Can be restored with a single click.
- Don't appear in active views but remain accessible.
Only delete items when you're certain they won't be needed again. If you're unsure, archive first.
This article covers what to do if you accidentally delete a group on your team's Scorecard or remove a Measurable from a group. If you've accidentally permanently deleted a Measurable from your My 90 page or the Measurable Manager, contact our support team.
How to Delete a Scorecard Group

When you delete a Scorecard group, you're removing the Measurables within the group from your team's Scorecard. However, those Measurables still exist in your Ninety account.
To delete a group from your team's Scorecard:
- Navigate to your team's Scorecard. Click Scorecard from the left navigation. Then, ensure the desired team is selected in the Team dropdown.
- Delete the intended group. Click the ellipsis on the top right of the intended group's card. Then, click Delete group from the dropdown.
Recovering a Deleted Group

To recover a deleted group, you'll need to reconstruct it by creating a new group and adding the Measurables. Here's how:
- Recreate the deleted group. Click New Group on the right side of the filter bar. Name the group and provide a description.
- Add the desired Measurables to the group. Click New Measurable at the top right of the group's card. Select Add existing Measurable from the options shown. Search for the Measurables you'd like to add to the group; click the checkbox of as many Measurables as desired. Then, click the Add button.
Even if a Measurable is removed from a Scorecard, all its historical data is preserved in Ninety. The Measurable's owner will always be able to view it in their My 90 workspace and Owners and Admins on your account can view them in the Measurable Manager.
Restoring a Deleted Measurable
If you deleted a specific Measurable from your Scorecard (not from My 90), follow these steps to restore it:
- Navigate to your Scorecard.
- Click New Measurable.
- Select Add Existing Measurable.
- Use the search bar to find the deleted Measurable by name.
- Check the box next to the Measurable you want to restore.
- Click Add.
The Measurable will be added back to your Scorecard with all its historical data intact.
Troubleshooting
If you're unable to find the Measurable or if something doesn't look right:
- Double-check that you're searching with the correct name.
- Ensure the Measurable wasn't renamed by another team member.
- Contact Ninety Support for help recovering overwritten or hard-to-find data.
Tips and Best Practices
- Measurables must be added to groups. If you're recreating a deleted group, you must recreate the group before adding existing Measurables back.
- Archived vs Deleted. The steps above work whether the group was archived or deleted.
- Data remains intact. Measurable data is never lost — even when a group is removed.
